My hometown

     My hometown is Shibuya. It is one of the cities of Tokyo, Japan. I would like to introduce my hometown, my neighborhood, and my home. First, Shibuya is the town of young people. Around the station, there are so many people, lot of pubs, and nightclubs. If you go Shibuya at midnight, you can see the people sleeping on the road. It is very ridiculous but it is one of the cultures in Japan, I think. Pubs and nightclubs open until the first train starts. So, if you miss the last train, you can drink the shop until the first train starts. As a matter of course, it is very safe. Only one girl can walk at midnight at Shibuya. Some Japanese asked me, however Shibuya is very urban, people can live there. The answer is yes. If you walk 15 minutes from station, there are great place to live. Then, I would like to introduce around my home, there are very quiet and many kind people. It likes Japanese suburban culture. There are some parks and many apartments. In addition, there are expensive restaurants because there is the headquarters of national broadcasting in Japan. Around my home, there are many buildings. It likes concrete jungle. Although there are many buildings, big park “Yoyogi Park” is very nearby. Basketball and Volleyball games held at Yoyogi Park when Tokyo Olympics was held. My neighborhoods are very famous people. 2 former Japanese prime minister live at my neighborhood. In addition, famous actor and actress live. It means this place is very safe. Finally, I would like to tell you my home. It is apartment which my mother own. It was built over 40 years ago. My family is my mother and me because my parents divorced when I was a child. My grand father died before I was born and my grand mother was died last March. In short, I love my family and my hometown so, I would like to take care of them in the future.

Y Combinator’s YC VC Will Replace The Start Fund; Includes Yuri Milner, Andreessen Horowitz But Offers Less Money

     Yuri Milner, Andreessen Horowitz, General Catalyst, and Maverick Capital establish YC VC fund on this month. They are the investors. The Venture Capital invests to all alumni of Y Combinator. The investment amount is $80,000. This amount is lower than Y Combinator’s investment amount. The reason is two. One is money problem between investors and founders. Another is YC VC asks more helping VC to startups.

What Two Tech Startups Learned at a Business Accelerator

     In this article, it spoke about 5 tips of how to growth startups with a business accelerator or incubator program.The tips was told at the Triangle Startup Factory entrepreneurship bootcamp.

1. Disprove your assumptions as quickly as possible.

     Anil Chawla launched startup. He had to be constantly making predictions and assumptions. Someday, he tests his theory to his client but it was disproved.

2. Build your business one step at a time.

     Deepak Gopalakrishna launched startup and made long-term goals for the company. However, all mentors said startup needs “iterative process of building.” Built and test is most important thing when launch the startups.

3. Spend your money to make aggressive changes, not just to stay alive.

     Chawla says that you have to use the money for aggressive challenges. Even if you don’t have the benefit of a instant cash infusion from an accelerator, think about doing more with your cash reserves.

4. Make money ASAP.

     “Generating revenue early was definitely pushed a lot,” says Gopalakrishna. There are so many investors and founder have to show them how much money earned. “Revenue is definitely a huge priority here as far as investors are concerned,” he says.

5. Pick up the phone.

     Founder always carries phone because nobody knows when call from potential customer. Before you have spent time and money creating a website and a way to sign up for a product or service, talk to your desired customer and see if they are interested in what you are selling.

The ways I read and write 2 (Rewrite)

•What kinds of things do you read everyday for pleasure?

     When I read japanese novels. Because it is not only interesting story but also choice of words are very interesting. I brought over 10 japanese novels to US. And I am considering how to get new japanese novels.

•What kinds of things do you read for information?

     I always read news or other information on internet. I really like PC or new gadget. So, I read information about that kind of news. And I read information about startup.

•In what kinds of situations do you write?

I usually write email or texting or sometimes write a letter for my family or girl friend. It is in japanese but sometimes I write mail in english because I have to ask about university or class assignment.

•In what kinds of situations do you use formal language? Informal language?

When I write email or texting for my family or friends, I use informal language. On the other hand, When I write email for teacher or student advisor, I use formal language.
